We specialize in providing relief from a variety of conditions, including:
Auto and Work Comp Injuries
We treat several workplace injuries, including those caused by slipping and falling, as well as repetitive use injuries and motor vehicle accident (MVA) injuries. Regardless of your type of injury, we can help you find relief so you can get back to work and on with life, safely and efficiently.
Back pain is one of the most common musculoskeletal conditions in the United States, affecting 31 million people every day. Whether you suffer from upper, middle or lower back pain, chiropractic care is a safe, non-invasive treatment option that focuses on identifying the root cause of your symptoms to relieve pain and restore function.
Probably one of the most frustrating situations new parents find themselves in is having to deal with a child that is extremely fussy or inconsolable. Research shows that regular pediatric chiropractic care, including upper cervical adjustments, can help relieve pain and tension associated with colic. In addition, it can help ease spinal restrictions that can lead to constipation and trouble latching.
Chiropractic care is a safe and effective way to manage and relieve pain or discomfort caused by ear infections. Adjustments help reduce joint restrictions and misalignments in the spine that cause inflammation or dysfunction.
Headaches and Migraines
Using a targeted methodology, we adjust the alignment of your spine to improve spinal function and alleviate stress on the nervous system. This allows your body to function normally and reduces risk of stress and tension that leads to headaches and migraines.
Fibromyalgia is a chronic disorder involving widespread pain and sensitivity. Symptoms sometimes begin after physical trauma, surgery or significant psychological stress, or they may accumulate over time. Studies show that chiropractic adjustments, combined with soft tissue technique therapy, can help relieve pain in fibromyalgia patients.
Foot, Heel and Ankle Pain
We put our feet through a lot of pressure and stress, and it’s important to keep them healthy. If you are suffering from heel, ankle or foot pain, we can help. Whether it be through chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, dry needling or corrective exercise, Dr. Wiechmann can work with you to restore normal movement and alignment in the feet, heels and ankles. This includes providing relief from pain associated with plantar fasciitis, heel spurs and achilles tendinitis.
When people say they have a “slipped” or “ruptured” disc in their neck or back, they are usually referring to a disc derangement or a herniated disc, a common cause of lower back pain and hip pain. Dr. Wiechmann can alleviate pain associated with herniated discs or disc derangements through a variety of treatment options, including spinal manipulation, joint mobilization, rehabilitative or corrective exercise techniques and end-range loading.
Leg Pain and Knee Conditions
Most leg pain and knee conditions are caused by basic wear and tear. In certain cases, leg pain can often be associated with problems in the lower spine. Depending on the severity of your condition, chiropractic care may be an option to help restore range of motion, improve flexibility and increase strength.
Myofascial Trigger Points
Have you ever experienced a hard knot in your muscle? That’s a trigger point, and it can cause serious pain over large areas, impacting daily activities. Trigger point dry needling, also known as myofascial trigger point dry needling, helps relieve pain, inflammation and tension by breaking up these knots or adhesions. During treatment, Dr. Wiechmann carefully inserts a thin, dry needle (one without medication or liquid) directly into the trigger point and manipulates it until he gets a twitch response, indicating that the muscle has released.
The neck can easily become a source of pain due to muscle strain or serious injury. In fact, many people experience some degree of neck pain at least once in their lifetime. Depending on the severity of your condition, treatment may include chiropractic adjustments/spinal manipulation, soft tissue therapy and/or corrective exercise.
A pinched nerve occurs when too much pressure is applied to a nerve. This can cause pain, tingling, numbness or even weakness in many areas of the body, including the neck, back, shoulders and legs. Soft tissue therapy and chiropractic adjustments can help rule out the need for medication or surgery as well as provide relief for the affected areas.
Pre- and Post-natal Conditions
Dr. Wiechmann uses the Websiter Technique to relieve pain associated with pregnancy and postpartum. Advantages of regular chiropractic adjustments for women include proper pelvic alignment and balance, decreased back pain, shorter labor times and optimized recovery after childbirth.
Running and Sports Injuries
As a board-certified chiropractor and former collegiate athlete, Dr. Wiechmann understands the physical demands that are required for living an active lifestyle. Regular chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, trigger point dry needling, cupping therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy are just a few of the options we offer that can provide relief from sports-related injuries.
Shoulder injuries are frequently caused by athletic activity that involves repetitive overhead motion, such as pitching, swimming and weightlifting. However, injuries can also occur during everyday activities like cooking, cleaning and getting dressed. Common shoulder injuries include rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability and arthritis. Dr. Wiechmann offers a variety of treatment options for shoulder pain relief, including soft tissue mobilization, corrective exercise, rehabilitative taping and trigger point dry needling.
Tendinitis is inflammation or irritation of a tendon — the thick fibrous cords that attach muscle to bone. The condition causes pain and tenderness outside the joint. While it can occur in any of the tendons, it’s most common around the shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees and heels. Chiropractic care can be a great treatment option for tendinitis. Depending on the specific condition, we may recommend trigger point dry needling or Class IV Laser Therapy.
